Gigs and album news

The Exiles live at Boldon Colliery, Jan 2017

We’ve got a handful of gigs lined up for later in the year (full details here):

• Fri 11 Aug 2017, Carlisle Old Fire Station – Carlisle Refugee Action Group fundraiser with Censored and Partisan

• Sat 14 Oct 2017, Glasgow 13th Note – with Paul Carter and Performance Enhancing Suppositories

• Sat 11 Nov 2017, Carlisle Brickyard – with UK Subs and Fat Albert

We’re looking for more gigs, and we’re also busying ourselves with our second album. Recording is now finished and we’re set to return to Lovers Lane Studios in Dumfries to mix eleven new tracks very soon.

Also, cult thriller I Am Not A Serial Killer is now available on DVD, Blu-ray and On Demand in the UK. The film features our track Hollywood Lies, which is available on limited edition CD here.

Exiles live at King Tut’s, December 2014

The Exiles played at a sold out Glasgow King Tut’s at their Joe Strummer Tribute Night on 22 December 2014, with all proceeds going to The Joe Strummer Foundation. Filmed by Nicola Phillips, the full set features What’s My Name, Tommy Gun, Janie Jones, Career Opportunities and The Magnificent Seven. This set features guest drummer, Steve ‘Harry Exile’ Harrison.

Phil and Simon dedicated this set of Clash covers to Chris Warwick, their best friend and long-time Exiles guitarist. Although devastated at Chris’s passing on 17 December 2014, they knew he would want them to play this gig.

Hopefully, there’ll be news of a Chris Warwick tribute gig very soon. Dates and venues are pencilled-in…

Exiles T-shirts – not many left…

Most of our t-shirts were snapped up online and at the first gigs we sold them at – we only have a handful of sizes XL and XXL left.

We’ve had to take down the PayPal buying links in case it over-sells. Email us at the_exiles@live.co.uk or Facebook message us if you want one, and we’ll send you a PayPal payment request.

T-shirts are £8 (plus £3 p&p) or you can buy a t-shirt and Universal Suffering CD for only £10 (plus £3 p&p). Non-UK buyers – we’ll estimate postage for your country.

We’re hoping to do the next run in other colours (shirt and print), so if you want the military green t-shirt with black print, be quick.

Exiles at Rebellion 2014

The Exiles stormed Rebellion 2014, with an energetic, kick-ass set on the Arena Stage that drew in plenty of punters at Blackpool Winter Gardens on Thursday lunchtime on 7 August.

A massive thanks to Daz and Jen, everyone at Team Rebellion, and every member of staff at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

If you were there, thanks for coming – and if you took pics or vids, please let us know…

Check out these official pics by ‘Uglypunk’ – you can see a full album of his photos on The Exiles facebook page.

And remember, we’re on the cover-mount CD of the current issue of Vive Le Rock magazine with the track ‘Alphaville’. Get our debut album Universal Suffering at our store!
